Hello! My name is Diana Bang and I am an exchange student from Seattle, Washington (USA). I attend Seattle University back at home and am working towards a social work major.
Currently, I am attending Sophia University as a sophomore and am enrolled in the Faculty of Liberal Arts program. I chose to study abroad here in Japan because I was so fascinated about the country's history and culture, and I plan to minor in Japanese.

I believe that the IHCWAY program is truly effective and would be beneficial to both the student interested in learning a foreign language and the teacher. Having lessons in comfortable atmospheres (such as cafes) and being able to have free conversations with another who is trying to learn English is what I enjoy the most about IHCWAY!
I know the various challenges one may face while trying to learn a foreign language and my goal is to help those who truly want to improve their English language ability. Don't ever give up!

　 Hello everyone!

My name is Christopher Liu,and I am from San Jose, California.
I came to Japan to study Japanese, and to also experience the rich culture, history, and diversity of this beautiful country. I've always had a strong desire to learn Japanese,the rich and unique culture is what attracted me to learn Japanese in the first place. Japanese is a very beautiful language,but hard to learn. It is very different from English, but I hope to speak it fluently someday.
I have taught English in Shanghai, China before coming to Japan. So I do have experience teaching English.
Being a teacher at IHCWAY, it allows me to have a flexible schedule, so that I can better teach my students. The one to one teaching approach really allows me to teach my students at my own pace, and it really builds a connection between teacher and student.
IHCWAY's teaching methods are very effective, and are very helpful. Meeting new students is the best part about being an IHCWAY teacher. Being able to help them learn English is also a great feeling. English is not an easy language to learn but being a teacher at IHCWAY, I am always looking forward to helping the next student that wants to learn!

　 What I enjoyed most about being able to teach at IHCWAY was the 1-on-1 interaction I gained with my students.
Each student was so eager to learn it was very enjoyable for me to teach them and help them improve their English skills.
IHCWAY does a great job of matching students with teachers, making learning extremely convenient for both sides involved!
The IHCWAY process allows me to focus my teachings on what each student is looking for. Working within the IHC system improves their reading, speaking, comprehension and enunciation all at once!

　 Hello everyone

My name is Tom McDowell and I am from London England.
I am a very easy going person who likes to meet new people and experience different cultures. This is one of the reasons why I came to Japan as the culture is so very different to England but also I have always had a keen interest in Japan so this is a very important experience for me and I feel very lucky to be here in Tokyo. When I first arrived I could not believe how polite, kind and friendly everyone was towards me and I would like to thank you all for welcoming me to your country.

My job before teaching English was as a Corporate Insurance Broker in the London Insurance Market. Insurance is a busy industry but also has a very buzzing atmosphere. I really enjoyed meeting clients and and really enjoyed being out of the office. I had my own book of clients which I dealt with on a day to day basis and enjoyed building relationships with them and also with new clients. I did enjoy the work but I am enjoying time away and teaching English which I think is very rewarding as you see students progress in their English ability, lesson after lesson.
If you want to improve your English speaking skills I will always do my best to assist you in any way possible through reading, speaking and writing, and I always try to make sure that you are happy with me as a teacher. I think it is very important that student and teacher work well together which is why IHCWAY is so good because they take the time to interview both teachers and students to ensure that they match and are compatible.

I try to make my lessons interesting and enjoyable while at the same time making sure that students are gaining useful knowledge, skill and ability. I hope that by listening to my pronunciation that you will be able to speak English at the level and ability that you aim for.

　 Hello! My name is Michael Young and I am from the state of Tennessee in America!
Japanese culture is certainly very different from American culture, but I enjoy learning about the differences and am having fun living in Japan!
I am a relaxed person who believes in working hard, but also in having fun. The one-on-one teaching style of IHCWAY is appealing in that it allows for in-depth English practice while also providing a comfortable atmosphere. It is my belief that in order to learn, we need to be comfortable and have fun!
My main hobbies are watching movies and playing tennis! I am not a very skilled tennis player, but I have fun playing with my friends. As for movies, I have started learning more about Japanese movies and have enjoyed the ones I have watched!
I truly believe that learning another language is more than a pursuit of practical knowledge; it is a journey to understand other cultures in our world, and through that journey, learn more about ourselves. I hope you enjoy learning English!
